Custom Earphone from HelloEar Arc and Xiaomi

Not so long ago Xiaomi has launched a new accessory on its crowdfunding — In-Ear Headphones HelloEar Arc.

And this isn’t just any headphone but is touted to be a customised earphone with a 3.5mm audio interface.

Hundreds of experts, day and night, struggle to come up with the most successful form of their headphones, which would be most comfortable for the user. Much attention is paid to the materials from which the headphones are made of, their internal and outer design and a plenty of other parameters.

This gadget was created by talented industrial designers, audio engineers, Reddot award winners in partnership with Tsinghua University and University of Science and Technology Beijing.

Headphones are light (12 g) and compact (108×72×133 mm). Their body is made of aviation-grade aluminum, and the internal speaker is equipped with Kevlar elements. The impedance of the headphones is 25 ohms, the sensitivity is 106.5 dB, the power is 3 mW, and the frequency range is in the traditional for many headphones of the Xiaomi ecosystem of 20-20,000 Hz limits. The length of the headphone wire is about 1.2 meters.

However, the most important feature of HelloEar Arc is the approach of their creators to the convenience of the user.

Each person is individual — the company’s specialists decided to make this statement the basis for the promotion of their headphones. This is expressed in the fact that the ear buds of the headphones made of medical silicone and can be individually manufactured for each client. For this, at the time of placing an order, customers will need to take pictures of their auricle and attach it to the order.

I wonder if such a service will be available outside of China?
