For the advertising campaign of this model, the Awaken-F band was invited.

Mi 8 Youth Edition has been improved on the basis of Mi 8, and has been adjusted in terms of configuration and appearance.

The model has a really colorful and eye-catching design. Bright colors and quite interesting and unusual gradient color decision. Do you know any other Mi Phones with a similar design? We don’t know!

To create this rear panel design was used mirror nano-sputtering process. The rear panel is covered with 2.5D glass.

Mi 8 Youth Edition is provided with 6,26-inches display, the body thickness is only 7.5mm. It supports the fingerprint recognition (the sensor is situated on the rear panel).

Talking about camera, it has a dual 12+5MP sensor as the rear camera and 24MP as the front camera (Sony IMX576 Sensor). The main camera module supports a variety of AI smart effects and portrait mode. It also supports AI video beauty, able to dynamically track faces for beauty optimization. The company claimed that this model will have the strongest selfie camera.

In terms of performance, the model features Snapdragon 660 processor and runs MIUI 10 system. The model is provided with 3350mAh battery and QC3 support.

It is worth mentioning that the Mi 8 Youth Edition is the first Xiaomi smartphone with Vulkan version of “Glory of the King” support. Vulkan is a cross-platform 2D and 3D graphics application interface that reduces the background work performed by the CPU when analyzing the hardware requirements of the game.

The model will be available with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage combination. The model will have three color variations: Twilight Gold, Dream Blue, and Deep Space Gray.
