Release of an eight-core chipset MT6592 is scheduled for November 2013

According to sources close to the leadership of the corporation Mediatek, the official presentation of the long-awaited eight-core chipset MT6592 will happen in November this year.

Recall that Mediatek is the Taiwan's largest manufacturer of microelectronic components and a major supplier of processors for ThL. For many years of cooperation, Mediatek proved itself as a reliable producer of quality and inexpensive processors for smartphones and tablets. Its powerful 4-core MT6589 chipset already installed in more than 200 million touch devices. Mediatek products is used  by such industry giants of microelectronic  as Sony, Acer, Lenovo, Huawei, NEC, ZTE, THL and other manufacturers.

The latest processor Mediatek MT6592, that consists of an 8-core ARM Cortex-A7, working at the frequency1.7-2 GHz and powerful graphic subsystem Mali-450, known as the first "real, eight cores processor", since all cores can work simultaneously! As you already know, existing on the market processor Exynos 5 Octa from Samsung though has 8 cores, but only 4 of them can work simultaneously to reduce energy consumption.

Last week in Antutu Benchmark was presented first test MT6592 at the frequency of 1.7 GHz with 1 GB ofRAM. The result 25500 points, though and an impressive, but according to experts, is quite understated because Antutu has no ability to evaluate correctly the productivity eight-systems. In addition, serialMT6592 must operate at a frequency of 2 GHz.

But in any case, the market is looking forward to release a powerful and inexpensive eight-core platform, capable of being equal to compete with the latest processors, Nvidia Terga, Qualcomm Snapdragon andSamsung Exynos.
