BNC video cables and Siamese cables for CCTV.
BNC video cables connect analogue and HD-over-coax CCTV cameras to DVRs, and they are also used in broadcast, test equipment and video production. RG59 cable is the most common type for CCTV, while RG6 cable has lower signal loss over longer distances. Siamese cables combine a BNC video cable and a power cable in one jacket, which makes camera installations faster and neater. Pre-made cables with connectors are ready to use, while bulk cable lets installers cut custom lengths. Check the cable type, length and whether power is included before ordering. Shielded, copper-core cables give better picture quality than copper-clad aluminium. Outdoor-rated cables resist UV and water. Longer runs need better cable to avoid picture loss, especially with HD cameras. Neat cabling also makes installations easier to maintain.
