Fibre optic patch cords — SC, LC, FC connectors, single mode and multimode.
Fibre optic patch cords connect network equipment such as switches, routers, media converters and fibre panels in data centres, offices, telecom rooms and FTTH installations. SC, LC and FC are the most common connector types, and each end can have a different connector. Single-mode cables are used for long distances and telecom networks, while multimode cables are used for shorter distances inside buildings. Check the connector types, fibre mode, polish type (UPC or APC) and length before ordering. Using the wrong cable type causes signal loss. Keep connectors clean, as dust reduces performance.
