CCTV lenses — fixed, varifocal and wide-angle M12 and CS-mount lenses.
The lens decides how wide or narrow a CCTV camera's view is: short focal lengths (2.8 mm, 3.6 mm) give a wide view for rooms and entrances, while longer lengths (6 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm and more) show distant objects such as gates and number plates in detail. Varifocal lenses can be adjusted during installation to frame the scene exactly. M12 lenses fit small board cameras, while CS-mount and C-mount lenses fit box cameras. Wide-angle and fisheye lenses cover large areas. Check the mount type, focal length, sensor size and whether the lens has an IR-corrected coating for sharp night images before ordering. Lenses with auto iris adjust to changing light.
