External optical drive cases and enclosures for DVD/Blu-ray drives.
External optical drive cases and enclosures turn an internal DVD or Blu-ray drive into a portable USB drive, which is useful for laptops without a built-in drive and for reusing drives from old computers. They let you read and burn CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs for backups, music, films, software and archived files. Check the drive size and connector type (slim SATA, standard SATA or IDE) before ordering, as enclosures are made for specific drive types. USB 3.0 enclosures offer faster data transfer. Some enclosures need an external power adapter for full-size drives.
Drives: rewritable drives.
