IR illuminators and white light floodlights for better night vision.
Many cameras have limited built-in night vision, so external IR illuminators extend the range and improve image quality in the dark, which is useful for large yards, car parks, farms and long driveways. Infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so it lights the scene for the camera without alerting intruders. White light floodlights show colour images at night and actively deter intruders. Motion-activated lights switch on only when movement is detected, which saves energy. Check the wavelength (850 nm has a faint red glow, 940 nm is fully invisible), range, beam angle and power supply before ordering. Place illuminators away from the camera to reduce insects and reflections.
