Shadow props and gobos that cast leaf, window and pattern shadows for artistic product shots.
Shadow props and gobos cast patterns of light and shadow onto a scene, which adds mood and an artistic look to product shots, portraits and food photography. Leaf shadows create a natural, summery feel, window shadows add a warm, sunny atmosphere and geometric patterns give a modern look. Place the prop between the light source and the subject, and adjust the distance to make the shadows sharper or softer. Hard light sources such as the sun or a bare flash create sharper shadows. Shadow props are popular with skincare, cosmetics and lifestyle brands for social media content. They are light, easy to use and add instant style to simple setups.
