OnePlus Accessories: Cases and Screen Protection for OnePlus and Nord Phones
OnePlus phones are divided into the flagship numbered series and the Nord family, which includes mid-range Nord and lower-priced Nord CE models. Each has its own design details that affect how cases and screen protectors fit.
The Alert Slider and other design features
Many OnePlus phones have an Alert Slider on the side for switching between ring, vibrate and silent. A good case has a precise cut-out so the slider stays easy to move. Recent flagship OnePlus models also have a large circular camera module on the back, and the case should have a raised rim around it to protect the lenses.
Flat or curved screen
Several OnePlus flagships, such as the 8 Pro to 12 generations, use displays with curved edges, while Nord models and more recent phones typically have flat or only slightly curved screens. Curved displays need curved tempered glass, often fixed with UV adhesive, or a flexible film. Flat displays work with standard or full-glue glass. In both cases, choose a protector that supports the in-display fingerprint sensor.
Choosing a case
- Slim TPU cases keep the phone light and preserve the Alert Slider feel.
- Clear cases show OnePlus colour finishes.
- Rugged cases with reinforced corners protect the curved glass edges, which are vulnerable to side impacts.
- Magnetic cases add a magnet ring for magnetic chargers and car mounts.
Model naming tips
OnePlus uses names such as Nord 3, Nord CE 3 and Nord CE 3 Lite, which are entirely different phones despite similar names. Flagship models also come in standard and Pro versions with different dimensions. Check the exact name in Settings, About device.
OnePlus phones support fast charging with the brand's own chargers, so a case with a generous charging port opening is useful for thicker fast-charging cables. Pair your case with a matching screen protector for full protection.
