LED bulbs and tubes — E27, E14, GU10 bulbs and T8 tubes.
LED bulbs and tubes use up to 80–90% less energy than old incandescent bulbs and last many years, which saves money on electricity and replacements. Choose the right base for your fittings, such as E27, E14, GU10, B22 or T8 tubes. Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts: about 800 lumens replaces a 60 W bulb. Colour temperature affects the mood: 2700–3000K is warm and cosy for living rooms and bedrooms, while 4000–6500K is cooler and brighter for kitchens, offices and garages. Check the base, lumens, colour temperature and whether the bulb is dimmable before ordering. Dimmable bulbs need compatible dimmer switches. Bulk packs offer good value.
