Handlebar grips and bar tape affect comfort, control and hand fatigue on every ride. Lock-on grips clamp onto the handlebar with bolts, so they never slip, even in rain and mud, which is popular with mountain bikers. Ergonomic grips with wing-shaped palm rests spread pressure across the hand, which reduces numbness on long rides and commutes. Foam grips are light and soft. Bar tape wraps road bike handlebars and adds cushioning and grip. Check the handlebar diameter (usually 22.2 mm for MTB and city bikes) and grip length before ordering. Replace worn grips to improve safety and comfort. Bright colours add a custom look.
