Screen separator machines heat the screen to soften the adhesive, which lets technicians remove cracked glass from the display panel without damaging it. Heat plates are also used to soften the adhesive on back covers and screens before opening a phone. Look for a machine with an accurate temperature display, a built-in vacuum pump to hold the screen flat and enough space for tablets. Cutting wire is used to slice through the adhesive layer. Separators are an essential first step in screen refurbishing.
