Bullet cameras have a long, cylindrical shape that makes them clearly visible as security cameras, which helps deter intruders, and they are ideal for mounting on outside walls, driveways, gates, car parks and warehouses. Long-range infrared night vision lets them see in complete darkness, often up to 30–50 m or more. Weatherproof housings rated IP66 or IP67 protect them from rain, dust and snow. Check the resolution, lens focal length (wider for close areas, longer for distant views), night vision range and whether the camera uses PoE, Wi-Fi or analogue connection before ordering. Varifocal lenses let you adjust the zoom during installation. Colour night vision models use warm light to show colour images at night. Sun shields reduce glare and protect the lens.
