FPC connectors on Huawei mainboards connect the display, battery, charging board and cameras, and they can be damaged by corrosion after liquid damage or by careless prying. Replacing only the damaged socket can save an expensive Kirin mainboard. This work needs a microscope, hot air station and fine solder. Check the pin count and connector type carefully, as many sockets look nearly identical.

FPC connectors are soldered onto the Huawei mainboard and connect the screen, battery and sub-boards. A torn connector requires micro-soldering with hot air, flux and a microscope.
