Ignition parts — coils, spark plugs and ignition wires.
Ignition system parts create the spark that starts and runs the engine, and worn parts cause misfires, rough idling, poor fuel economy and difficult starting. Spark plugs should be replaced at the intervals in the owner's manual, often every 30,000 to 100,000 km depending on the type. Ignition coils fail over time, which causes misfires on one cylinder. Ignition wires (HT leads) connect the coil to the spark plugs on older engines. Check the engine code and part number before ordering. Replace spark plugs as a set for even performance. Iridium plugs last longer than copper plugs.
