LED light beads and COB chips are used for building, repairing and upgrading LED lights, which is popular with electronics hobbyists, repair technicians and lighting manufacturers. SMD LEDs in sizes such as 2835, 5050 and 5730 are used in strips and bulbs, while COB (chip-on-board) LEDs produce intense, even light for spotlights and floodlights. High-power LEDs need heatsinks to stay cool. Check the size, voltage, current, colour temperature and brightness before ordering. Replacing failed LEDs can fix lights without buying new fixtures. LED beads are also used for DIY projects, displays and signage.
