Owners of phones from Lenovo, Microsoft, Amazon, Doogee, TCL and other less widespread brands often struggle to find cases in local shops. This category gathers cases for these devices, along with universal cases, waterproof bags and pouches that fit a range of phone sizes.
Model-specific cases
A case made for a specific model gives the best fit, with accurate openings for the camera, buttons, charging port and fingerprint sensor. For smaller brands, model names can be confusing: Doogee, for example, releases rugged and non-rugged phones under similar names. Check the model name in Settings, About phone, and match it to the product title.
Universal cases and bags
When no model-specific case exists, a universal solution can still protect the phone.
- Universal leather cases hold the phone with an adhesive pad, sliding holder or elastic corners and cover the screen like a book.
- Leather and cloth bags are pouches that keep the phone safe from scratches in a bag or pocket.
- Waterproof bags seal the phone in a clear pouch for the beach, boating or heavy rain.
Universal products are sold by the phone size they accept. Measure your phone with its current case, if you plan to keep it, and compare the height and width with the stated internal dimensions rather than relying only on screen size in inches.
Practical considerations
- Adhesive holders in universal flip cases should be fixed to a clean, dry phone back and pressed firmly for several seconds.
- Waterproof bags should be tested with a piece of paper inside before use with the phone.
- Pouches protect against scratches but not against heavy drops.
- For rugged phones, a holster or belt pouch is often more useful than a case.
Universal cases are also a useful option for older phones whose cases are no longer produced, or for shops that need to cover many models with a small stock.
