DJI Osmo Action Accessories: Cases, Frames, Mounts, Chargers and Filters
DJI Osmo Action cameras, including Osmo Action 3, 4, 5 Pro and later models, are tough action cameras used for cycling, skiing, surfing, diving and travel. They use a magnetic quick-release mounting system, which makes switching mounts fast.
Protection
Tempered glass screen protectors protect the front and rear touchscreens, and lens covers or glass guards protect the lens. Silicone cases add grip and absorb knocks. Protection frames surround the camera, add mounting points and protect corners while keeping ports accessible.
Mounts and holders
Osmo Action cameras attach through DJI's magnetic quick-release adapter, which works with two-prong mounts. Helmet mounts give first-person views, chest mounts show the hands and handlebars, handlebar mounts suit bikes and motorcycles, and suction cups fit cars and boats. Adapters allow GoPro-style mounts to be used.
Cables and chargers
Battery charging hubs and spare batteries extend shooting time. Cold weather drains batteries faster, so carry extras for winter sports.
Lens filters
ND filters allow slower shutter speeds in bright light for natural motion blur. Red and magenta filters correct colours underwater. CPL filters reduce reflections on water.
Cases and bags
Carry cases keep the camera, mounts, batteries and filters together.
Matching the model
Osmo Action 3, 4 and 5 Pro share the magnetic mounting system, but frames, cases and lens filters may differ. Check your model before ordering.
Practical tips
- Use a tether when mounting the camera on a helmet or board.
- Rinse with fresh water after salt water use.
- Carry spare batteries in cold conditions.
- Fit a lens protector before your first trip.
Cold weather and winter sports
Lithium batteries lose capacity in the cold, so on ski slopes the camera may record for much less time than usual. Keep spare batteries in an inner pocket close to your body and swap them as soon as the level drops. A tether or lanyard on helmet and pole mounts prevents losing the camera in deep snow.
