Suction cups and screen lifters are used to lift screens and back glass when opening phones and tablets, creating a small gap where a pick can be inserted. Heavy-duty suction handles give a stronger grip for glued screens, while small cups are used for smaller devices and tight spaces. Some tools combine a suction cup with a pry tool for one-hand opening. Heat the adhesive first with a heat plate or heat gun to make opening easier and reduce the risk of cracking the screen. Keep spare suction cups, as they wear out with use.
